INTESA SAN PAOLO HEADQUARTERS

Globalisation and new markets

Separator

The project for the new Intesa Sanpaolo headquarters was the result of an invitation-only international competition, won by Renzo Piano Building Workshop RPBW. The Bank's operational and management offices are all housed in the single 43-storey, 116-metre high tower. There are also spaces open to the public, such as a branch of the bank, a floating conference hall and restaurants. A bioclimatic greenhouse with forest trees occupies three floors at the top of the building and affords 360 degree views over the city. In 2015 the building was awarded Leed Platinum accreditation by the Green Building Council, the most authoritative international building eco-assessment body.
